Of course there was a garden

The MUN garden, in this case. Memorial University Botanical Garden.

1. Iris are everywhere. Hmm. Irises? Irisi? No idea what the plural is.

And don't forget the wooden moose from this blog, that was at MUN as well. The gardens are beautiful, and we could have stayed much longer, but we had a boat to catch. There was a whole section near the pond that we didn't get to. There's a wonderful cafe there as well, a gift shop with some great art, and some indoor programming space.

  1. I'm taking notes for when Ron and I finally get over there for a holiday. I love a good garden. Orange flower looks like a Rhododendron - obviously, much later bloom time there than down this way. Great pics <3

  2. I've never made it to the botanical gardens. Maybe on our next trip over. I agree with Janet that the orange flowers look like rhodos. Glad you had decent weather. Never guaranteed in Nfld. We spent two weeks in August there a decade or more ago - bloody cold and rainy the whole time. Miserable weather but we still managed to have fun.
