I'm a sucker for reflections

The push is on. The simmering is over. Time to fish or cut bait. $#@! or get off the pot. The book will be done this week and sent to Blurb. My major learning here is that it's really tough to work on a book, and be blogging using the same set of photos. Won't do that again.

Here's a block of reflection photos from NL.

1. Just off the 2 mile trail, looking for the waterfalls we could hear, in between the buzz of the bugs.

2. Another view from the Burlington cabin.

3. Twillingate.

4. Sunset from the Raleigh cabin, after a 10 K walk up that peninsula you can see.

5. One of the hikes near Chance Cove.

6. Smith's Harbour, near Burlington.

7.

8.

9.

10. Part of the view from the Burlington cabin. There are people on that deck enjoying the sunset.

11. Sunset from the Burlington cabin.

12. Another small village not far from Chance Cove.

13. Not far from #12.

14. I saw the yellow cabin and pulled into a fishing hut parking spot to get out the camera. I hadn't even got out of the car before a local slowed down and told me I couldn't park there. Showed him the camera and he just rolled his eyes.

I'm actually pretty proud of this photo. Taken to finish off a roll spent working on long exposures. Keep in mind this is with a completely manual camera. I had to figure out the exposure settings, and find focus on a boat moving left to right at 35 mph, just as the water skier is carving a corner. Totally the opposite of a long exposure.
