Your weekend?

You may laugh, but I just today realized it's a long, long weekend. Friday is a corporate day off, and Monday is a stat. This is the first time I've thought about this in a couple years. I'm looking forward to sleeping in, if I can.

Lately there's been overnight construction noise, and it's really warm, which is not a good combination with my crappy sleep at the best of times. I've been up at 1am several times and 3am many of the other times, and once awake, it's hard to sleep again. Our open bedroom window faces west, to the construction noise, and it carries.

Work is going well. I'm happy diving in and SQLing the crap out of soon-to-be migrated databases. Even if my furry co-workers want to help. I can assure you with 100% confidence that a numeric keypad is not a kitty pillow, and especially not when editing SQL But I can't blame him for wanting to snooze.

I'm not sure what we're going to do this weekend. Probably much the same as we do the rest of the time. I got some library books out (not the Octopus book yet) so that might be part of it. Almost certainly there will be some BBQ, since there are items on marinade. Wine. Maybe spending some time tidying and organizing in the basement, since it will be cool there.

If I was doing a selection for the weirdest image of the month, this one would be it, hands down. It's edited a bit differently than usual, but not unusually so. Enjoy

Upcoming? I'm already working on Image of the Month, and Flowery Friday will ride again tomorrow!
