Flowery Friday 10, and blinking

Here we go, another Flowery Friday, brought to you by May 2 to 6th. It's funny, it used to be the work week dragged on and on, and Friday never came, and then the weekend was over in a blink. That isn't true anymore. It's all over in a blink.

Lured out of retirement and first month of work done. Blink.

It's been 4 months and a few days since we got home from New Zealand. Blink. Yes, really.

2020 more than half over already. Blink.

10 years in a few weeks since I did Ironman Canada. Blink. If you're new to the party, or feel like reminiscing, you can see links to the blog posts here. I might be talking about this a little more over the next couple weeks.

40 years since I moved to Calgary as a feckless youth. Blink.

Birthday soonish after mumbly-mumbly years here. Slightly slower blink.

To the flowers, which is probably why you came here in the first place.

2. I have my difficulties with begonias, but I keep trying.

3. I absolutely adored this tulip! I glowed in the light in a demure way, not like the brash molten glass orange or yellow tulips.

17. Sometimes what you crop out of a photo is even more important than what gets left in. These orange tulips stole my heart, and I took lots of photos of them. And yet it was tricky sometimes. Those blurry white tulips at the bottom are a distraction at best. The cropped version below is much nicer.

Curtis, disturbed from yesterdays supervisory duties.

Flowers, the lilies do a pretty good job of molten glass too.

White Peony, June 1, getting into the unfurling action.

  1. A strong set as always. I particularly like 7 for its simplicity. Cheers, Sean
