Snowy garden colour

Our long wonderful fall is officially over. It's snowing out. Very lightly, almost more like a freezing rain than actual snow, but still. This is one of the occasions where crappy weather makes for nice photos, because the wet brings up the colour.

Oddly enough, it brings out the lack of colour as well, so I loaded the small film camera with some Acros II and took it for a bit of a walk as well. Of course, I won't know how that turns out for a while. If you missed it, the film photos from Jasper are on the photo blog here

Linda was out till almost sunset yesterday doing the final bit of work to put the garden to bed for the winter. Of course, there's still more that could be done. There's always more, in a garden. But at least this year we weren't draining water barrels full of slush. Some of the plants Linda pulled out were still blooming, which just kills her. She says she isn't really hard-hearted enough to be a proper gardener.

Here's the garden photos.

2. The mint has been a magnet for the bees for it's entire life, but none today. Like that's a surprise. I hope all the bees have stored up to keep them going till spring.
