Here I am, dithering about image of the month. In the meantime, spring proceeds. Things are growing. Linda is deep into garden mode. I try to stay out of the way. Today might be the first lawn mowing of the year.
So this is the state of the garden as of the end of April. Compare to end of winter,

4. The mint has had it's annual trim. Normally these are pretty expansive, but this one has behaved for years, and only lately has it tried to spread out.

8. We are mourning the apparent loss of the tree peony, though it might come back from the roots. It had a couple years of getting established and produced the first bloom last year. Maybe the voles got it. They were bad last winter and have left quite a mess.
