The peonies of Saturday

A bonus post to flowery Friday, just in case you wanted to know how the peonies were coming along. Sadly, the tree peony that looked like it was settling in after a couple years of just hanging in there did not make it through the winter. We suspect the big lovely Sarah Bernhardt in the back garden got eaten by voles.

5. The famous white peony. Festiva Maxima.

6. The red peony.

7. Another white one, but it's a fancy french name that I don't know how to spell.

8. The pink peony with huge ruffled blooms. I'm pretty sure it's going to make a hard run for the top of the peony podium this year.
