Promised Fredericton Botanical Garden photos

The other day I posted the first instalment from the Fredericton Botanical Gardens, mainly leaves flowing over rocks, because they tickled my artistic fancy and the light was nice. Here, if you missed it. Plus, one of my photographic things is to come away with photos that nobody else would take, or almost nobody else, and show the beauty in the overlooked scene. Which is why on photo tours I'm usually the one looking the other way.

Most of what's here today is flowers and scenes that most other photographers would have taken. We did get into a bit of Odell Park, but it wasn't as interesting as the Gardens. There's still photos I want to show you from a walk around downtown Fredricton and what we found.

Plus, if you scroll down far enough, Curtis.

Although there are some rocks and leaves here that are the remnants of an old fence, they didn't fit in with the other images.

4. Linda was amazed to find flowers still in bloom. Remember, these photos were taken October 9th.

5. I like the rock gardens and the plants that grow in them.

9. I was working to capture the snoozing bee. You can't tell, but the wind is blowing fairly hard, waving the stem around. I'm trying to time the photo for the few seconds of calm. I hope it made it back to the hive ok.

Film
Not as compelling as the view in the other direction, but it's the last of the roll. Just at this second, I'm unsure if there's any more film photos in the unblogged folder. I suppose if I'd really thought about it, I should have created a keyword in Lightroom for the photos I'd blogged. Not gonna go back and try to catch up.

Parlee Beach. I was a bit surprised to find a detectorist working the beach hard. He barely paused when I pointed to my camera and him, but posed long enough to get the photo. I offered to show him, but he shook his head and was back at it.

Why ever didn't I publish this, and maybe I did
I probably did. Curtis keeping an eye on his human.

The view from our house looking across the green space Aug 13. Yes, it rained really hard. And no, Calgary is rarely this green in August.
