It was 22 years ago that Calgary was temporarily taken over by cows, and they didn't even have guns. You can read the prosaic details here.
That was a fun time. There were cows everywhere downtown. I was working downtown at the time, for BP I think, and would wander around at lunch looking at them. One day Linda wanted to see them, so we spent much of the day going from cow to cow with the point and shoot film camera. The photos all display the shortcomings of a plastic lens being used by people who were not photographers, but I hope you enjoy them for what they are.
If you were in Calgary then, this might bring back some happy memories. If not, it's a reminder that Calgary used to be fun, at least some of the time. But lately we've been getting the Toronto disease, taking ourselves much too seriously.

Yes, the cows were udderly awesome. Yes, Calgary has an overblown sense of its own importance, and doesn't appear to be able to laugh at itself as easily as it once did. Cheers
