Flowery Friday 10, a huge tour!

This is a full garden tour showing the complete state of things as of mid-afternoon Thursday Sept 17. If you're into it, get a mug of something and be prepared to scroll. We've had a couple frosts, with Linda covering only for the first and worst of them.

And stupid Blogger software. Something changed with how it's doing photos. So these are in backwards order, which I guess doesn't really matter for you. These are starting at the right side of the garage, and going leftward around the house.

First Tai Chi

You've all seen Tai Chi. At the least in a movie or TV show. Maybe a group in a park. Quiet, slow, gentle. I've been wanting to try it for years. Then when our community association redid our website, I realized someone was teaching it. In our hall. And I'd been signing the cheques for her for several years. Yeah, I'm so clued in.

I rode my bike over, and got stuck in. There was some warm up, then I started learning how to do a walking thing. It's harder than it looks. My thighs were feeling it by the end. Looking forward to next week.

There are no tai chi related photos. Sorry about that. So you get a nice moonrise, just because.

Flowery Friday 9

Yes, we'll get to the flowers. Or you could scroll down if you don't want to see what erratic path or paths my brain might take.

So let's start with the blog stats that I don't believe, not even close. Why? The recent blog about the 600 drones. Blogger says it has 152 views. (It says.) I have to go back to January of this year to find the most recent blog that has that many views. It has 153 views, which I don't really believe, but is slightly more plausible, and for the curious, it's about a S and K road trip, here. That post has an image that Sean suggest I try as B&W. So I did, tweaking it a bit more.

Maybe too dark?

I digress. That drone blog with the 152 views leads to a video and YouTube says it has 14 views. Make of it what you will. I don't know how either number is calculated, and don't really believe either of them.

If I look at my YouTube home page, such as it is, that drone show video doesn't even show up. No idea why. Good thing I'm not trying to make a living by posting YouTube videos. Or by doing this blog

Linda, look carefully.

Newfoundland Linda found this rock on the beach and really liked it.

Why ever didn't I publish this, and maybe I did. Just guessing there won't be any complaints about this one.

Landscape, well, that's the way it started, thinking I'd do a nice river panorama reflection, then I got photobombed.

Serendipity from a macro session a while ago. No idea what this actually is.

August Image of the Month

Some of the best images were of cyclists struggling through the monsoon during the Gran Fondo. Unfortunately, by my own rules they aren't eligible. It was a really quiet photographic month for me as I wasn't feeling the camera love.

2nd Runner Up
Sean and I found this little creek along Highway 40 and spent some time working the scene. This was a bit of a precarious perch as I tried to get everything right.

1st Runner Up
Lilies are beautiful, what more do you need? This one was so late to the party it was a surprise to see it.

Image of the Month
Fish Creek between bridge 2 and 3. Flowing water is one of the things that the camera 'sees' very differently than what our our eyes see. It's a difficult subject to get right, but I keep trying. I'm usually trying for a mist flowing over the rocks effect, which typically needs actual waves. Here I was trying to balance the exposure between the deep shadows in the trees and the sun on the water, and somehow got this unusual water texture that I'm quite pleased with.
