Seen along 40

No, it isn't closed. Yes there were floods and landslides recently. We still went. We saw. We photographed. It was a lovely day for a drive. We were a bit surprised at how many people were on the road, and parked along the road for some of the trail heads. Lots of the creek beds were a whole lot wider, with the topsoil washed away, and the boulders littered with dead trees.

The route was from my place, out highway 1, south on 40, east on 541 to Longview, and 22 and 22X to home again.

I took both film and digital cameras, and for once, actually used both of them. Didn't finish the roll though, so it's just digital today.

1. There's a lovely little waterfall. Once the guy who doesn't like the taste of Calgary water finished filling up a bunch of jugs, we had it to ourselves and worked the scene.

6. A typical view along that road, but l like how the layers of rock fold and bend.

7. Sean working a different scene.

8. While he was capturing the cows, I had this happen.

9. Home again.
