I was saddened to read of the death of Alan Fotheringham. He was a writer I enjoyed reading, both for the trenchant political commentary, and his somewhat frothy and wordy style. I have sometimes imagined him going to lunch with Sir Humphrey Appleby to gather material for a column, and would love to see his face at comments like, "In view of the somewhat nebulous and inexplicit nature of your remit, and the arguably marginal and peripheral nature of your influence within the central deliberations and decisions within the political process, there could be a case for restructuring their action priorities in such a way as to eliminate your liquidation from their immediate agenda."

Heather Mansfield said "Lovely! #15, the flower of the day and Curtis were my favourites. You caught the flower of the day at the perfect time - open just enough to give a little peek inside the petals. Beautiful!"
ReplyDeleteGreat set! It looks like the reds could have maybe been caught later or earlier time as the light appears a little harsh on the reds only. I'm with Heather on flower of the day. Cheers, Sean
