I'd got up early, and was sitting there being the usual fuzzy blanket substrate for Celina, while sipping some coffee, and thinking about photography. I just finished a gorgeous book of Australian photos (stay tuned), then noticed that the sunrise was looking promising.
It wasn't WTF cold out, but I still bundled up because of the wind. Today if forecast to be 10 C! In fact, we are getting first summer here in Calgary for the next week, with it being well into the teens some days. I wouldn't be the least surprised to see people spreading out blankets in the park to get started on their tans. I also expect our community ice rinks will be melted by next weekend and don't know if our hard working crew will be able to freeze them up again. This might be the shortest skate season ever, mid December to mid-January.

A throwback to earlier in the morning as I waited for the sky.

Gorgeous pics - sometimes it pays to get up early. I heard a chinook was rolling in (always loved to see that arch in the sky when I lived in Calgary). Enjoy those summer temps before the thermometer drops again.
ReplyDeleteBTW - loving the notebook book...fascinating history!!! Thanks for the recommendation.
