An hour's drive up the road is Kouchibouguac National Park. I found that nearly impossible to pronounce. We asked the waiter in a diner how she pronounced it, and it came out one way that I couldn't say. After she went back to the kitchen, a guy in the booth next to us said his people (he was First Nations) call it, another name I can't pronounce. There is a sad history about how this park came about.
In any case, the park is pretty impressive. Lots of trails, and Kelly's beach, which I went back to a number of times. I think 4 times but I'd have to look at the trip diary to be sure. So you'll be seeing more photos from this park. But today I want to start with a lovely forest trail.

Of the Day
Driftwood (NZ)
Film There will be a batch of photos from 20231130 that I had somehow overlooked blogging. These are Acros II, for those that are interested. The photos from this roll will show up over the next week or so. I haven't exposed much film lately, and didn't do any in New Brunswick, even though I brought a camera and lot of film.
Newfoundland
We were wondering if these were the cannon holes. Not.
New Brunswick
I'd never seen this on a beach before, with the wind blowing the plant around and around enough to leave a mark, quickly enough before anything else happens. I saw a bunch of these.
Why ever didn't I publish this, and maybe I did
90 days, or so ago and Flower
Oh, and I just realized I missed another Flowery Friday yesterday. Sheesh.
Landscape
An ocean scene that isn't particularly a beach scene.
Dino related
I had to wait a while to get this big display to myself.

And I'm up early (well, not really, considering the time difference) to read the new entry. Loving the travelogue - taking notes for when Ron and I do a tour of NB!!!
