Those fleeting thoughts and bees

Did you ever have a thought to look something up, read a particular thing, or write that perfect phrase, but you want to finish the current thought, and then that other thought has gone away, unloved, un-acted upon? Or walk into a room to get something and forget what you were going to get? There's so many distractions now, or I seem to be more easily distracted. Not sure which.

I enjoy watching the bees flit from flower to flower, reminding me of my thoughts some days. Buzzing around in a seemingly random pattern. It makes me wonder how I actually got anything done at at work.

Watching bees around the mint or lambs ears (or whatever they are) is soothing, especially when there isn't much other noise. I wonder what stories they tell each other when they get back to the hive. We make a point of planting flowers the bees will like, and trying to leave foliage over the winter just in case there's a little critter trying to make it through.
