Yes, it's really cold outside. Minus WTF territory. Just now our thermometer says it's -26 C in the back yard. I believe it.
1. Yesterday during the nice part of the day I bundled up and braved the cold.
It occurs to me that parka is nearly 30 years old, and is probably a collector's item for those interested in Amoco memorabilia. I was doing some winter trips to gas plants, and I had to have all the gear. Name tag and everything, just like I belonged or something. It's really warm, and typically only gets worn a few times a year. I've worn it a few times when doing photos for community association skating events, and have had a few parents comment. One worked for Amoco back in the day, but our paths never crossed.
I digress. There weren't any cars in Bebo Grove when I got there, and about a dozen when I got back. I guess it finally warmed up enough for people to venture out. Did I mention it was still minus WTF cold? The car thought it was -20 C and there was a brisk wind in the open areas. I wandered through the trees and along the river.
2.
Speaking of photos, I spent part of Saturday babysitting the documentary at cSpace. I took the laptop thinking I'd have a couple hours of quiet time, but was surprised to see a steady stream of people checking out the prints. I had a nice chat with several of them.

This is a photo of a print that turned out to be the runner up in my selection for the cSpace exhibit. There are some problems with the concept of a photo of a print, but none the less. The print looks better for several reasons.
Newfoundland
Polar bears
Why ever didn't I publish this, and maybe I did
A New Zealand street scene. I think it's Greymouth.

This is actually from the end of November. It was cold then too.
Brrr - good news is it's mid Feb. Fingers crossed you get a chinook soon (used to love seeing that cloud formation when I lived there). <3
