Almost pornographic with the swelling and the bursting

There are almost certainly some people eagerly clicking on this title. Clearly they didn't read it carefully. I missed spring last year with the good camera, and even mid summer I was still trying to get the hang of it. This year I've been out capturing the spring growth in the garden.

The garden! No, that's not a metaphor. Actual plants.

Now that we're all on the same page. These are all from the little trees in our garden.

In other garden news, tea tree oil seems to be effective so far in repressing the horrid lily beetles. I got a jar of it yesterday and sprinkled a few drops around each plant. Even today I could still smell it. If our human noses can pick it up, I only hope it's overwhelming to the beetles, who rely on scent to find the lilies. Still, I dug out a little mister, added a few drops to some water, and misted the lilies thoroughly. I haven't seen any beetles since day before yesterday. Any luck at all they will all fly off to find less well guarded lilies. Pity about all the munching thats happened so far. The poor little lilies. One was trampled by a rabbit on the way to the tulips.
